Teacher’s Day Celebration 2018 ASIS Group ICSE/ISC
“Education is the key to success in life, and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students.” – Solomon Ortiz.
Teacher’s Day is a day of gratitude and respect for the selfless efforts of the teachers. We truly believe that ‘Teachers play an important role in the overall development of a child’. They are capable to influence and mold a student’s life positively. Every student celebrates this day to encourage and support the contribution of his teacher. Children are the country’s future, hence they need to be positively nurtured and that is done best by teachers as children get inspired by their teachers. Teachers enlighten students and shape their careers.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at the ASIS group of schools here on September 5th. The celebrations were to honor all the teachers who had been instrumental in shaping the lives of the students they come across.
The students took the occasion as a wonderful opportunity to show their appreciation for their teachers by putting up a colourful and riveting cultural programme. Besides conducting a variety entertainment programme, the students also expressed their gratitude by presenting handmade cards.
The one-and-a-half-hour programme consisted of foot-tapping songs, groovy dances and fun-filled interactions by the students of our school. The event commenced with the two anchors addressing the audience. The programme was a tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher, scholar, teacher and first President of the country, in whose memory Teachers’ Day is celebrated.
The dances performed were simply amazing and made everyone watching want to dance along too. The fact that most of the songs were lovely and made the performance all the more enjoyable. Students expressed their gratitude to the teacher’s community with a lovely speech in Hindi and a wonderful poem recitation.
Students with their performances enthralled the hearts and minds of their mentors at the celebrations this was appreciated in the speech given by Mr. Rajendra Gohil principal of ASIS.
A special thank you note was given to Respected Captain sir and Our beloved Amarjyoti mam for this wonderful institution for the children of the city on this teacher’s day.
