Mock Parliament – Class 9 and 11
Philosopher says, “Give the pupils something to do, not something to learn, and when the doing is of such a nature as to demand thinking, learning naturally results.” Students of ASIS enacted parliamentary discussion on the 30th of August. How the members of the parliament discuss the issues and how in some cases the arguments become uncontrolled, were all displayed.
Serious National issues like defence, education, finance, safety and security were discussed. The objective of the mock parliament was to make the students understand how the discussions happen and how much of precise information a particular minister must actually posses to dominate the discussion and to convince the other side minister.
To put it in a nutshell, it helped each participant to have knowledge on the different issues and how to argue with confidence.
