DIWALI THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS AND DIYAS BRING THE LIGHT TO THE WORLD To sensitize the students towards the importance of diyas on 22nd October 2016 an inter-house Diya Making competition was conducted for grades 1 and 2 in the premises of Amar Jyoti Saraswati International School.
In these two hour-long competitions the students tried to prove their talents in the best possible way. They made different diyas and decorated them with various illuminating materials. The auspicious candles were beautifully decorated which enhanced their creativity. The art and craft teachers gave a demo of decorating diyas to the students. They showcased their talents and creativity through various designs.
The competition was supervised by respective class teachers. The adjudicators had to face a tough time to judge the competitors. The event concluded with the expression of wonderful imagination and creativity. It was the children’s zeal and vigor that motivates them to merge themselves in this light and enjoy the day before Diwali vacation.
