Counseling For Joining Merchant Navy ASIS Group CISE/ISC CBSE Board
“Counseling is a comprehensive, developmental program designed to assist individuals in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices. A career guidance and counseling program develop an individual’s competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning.
Keeping these thoughts in mind for the development of our students we at SBPS & ASIS, conducted a very unique counseling session in school on December 18, 2014, by Mr. Ketan Chakranarayan from Pune to make the students aware of a completely unusual career path i.e. The Merchant Navy.
Mr. Chakrapani principal CBSE wing received him and gave a welcome note. The students of 11th & 12th Science of PCM field were well informed about all the details of the job of a Merchant Navy, – the training, package, experience, work, sacrifices & risks.
The students were fascinated by this adventurous profession. The presentation shown was very interesting and was an interactive session. Students showed interest in this new job perspective. The students were informed about the processes of joining the merchant navy & pamphlets were distributed. In all, it was a good seminar arranged for the students. Anushka Bhargava a promising student from class 11th sc gave a vote of thanks message, expressing her gratitude to the management for organizing this seminar.”
