Celebration of Guru Purnima was held at Amarjyoti Saraswati International school on Saturday July 20, 2024
Guru Purnima, a day dedicated to honoring and expressing gratitude to teachers and mentors, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The event, which highlights the significance of the Guru in our lives, was meticulously planned and beautifully executed, reflecting the school’s deep respect for the tradition.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, accompanied by the chant of Sanskrit shlokas that set a spiritual tone for the day.
One of the highlights of the celebration was a heartfelt address by the school principal. In his speech, he emphasized the role of teachers as the guiding force and encouraged students to always respect and honor their mentors.
The celebration that followed included a series of performances by students. There was a classical dance, song, all themed around the Guru-shishya (teacher-student) relationship.
The event concluded with a tradition where students performed a symbolic ritual to honor their teachers with a tika. It was a day filled with learning, reflection and joy.
